27th Annual Buffalo Niagara Summer Training Institute July 16-27![]() Held during the last half of July, our 27th annual Summer Training Institute offers an intensive combination of one- and two-day workshops as well as one-credit MSW elective courses that can be taken on a degree or nondegree basis. NASW CEUs are available for all coursesm, and NYS OASAS CEUs are available for most. Some of the featured events include: Dr. Lisa Najavits- Seeking Safety for PTSD and Trauma; Dr. Dennis Daley- Evidence-Based Relapse Prevention; Tara Hughes, LCSW-R, Disaster Mental Health; Dr. Amanda Nickerson- Bullying Prevention & Intervention; and others including Motivational Interviewing, Schema Focused Therapy, CBT for Traumatized Youth, Overview of DBT, Assessing Lethality, Solution Focused Work with Difficult Client Situations, and Enhancing Collaboration Between Behavioral Health Providers & Insurance Companies.
