Dr. David Patterson and colleagues receive funding from the National Center On Minority Health And Health Disparities Dr. David Patterson (School of Social Work, University at Buffalo); Theresa McCarthy (Department of American Studies, University at Buffalo; and Dr. Dawn Martin-Hill (Indigenous Health Research Development Program, McMaster University) have received $25,000 in funding from the National Center On Minority Health And Health Disparities for their grant proposal “Health Research Conference: A focus on Native and First Nations of the Northeast”. This conference proposes to ensure that public, healthcare professional and research communities are informed and educated on the recent advances in Native American and First Nation health research, health disparities research, and existing resources to ensure ethical, safe research activities.
