Waldrop awarded NIH Challenge Grant to study HospiceSummary: Dr. Deborah Waldrop has been awarded a 2-year grant from NIH to study Communication in Late-stage Cancer and the Hospice Decision Details: Dr. Waldrop's NIH grant proposal has been funded in the amount of $457,861. Her research will explore and describe, when and with whom, older cancer patients communicate their concerns and needs for care at the end of life and how the decision about hospice utilization is made.
